Leeds United remain in the ascendancy for promotion to the Premier League but Daniel Farke will be desperate for a revival in form.

Leeds fans cannot bear to face another campaign of trying to squeeze out of the Championship via the play-offs as fears heightened with the 2-2 draw at QPR, with the recruitment staff also working hard behind the scenes to strengthen the squad in the summer.

It could be a massive summer of change at Elland Road depending on what division the Whites will be competing in for 2025-26, as MOT Leeds News rounds up the pick of the past 24 hours.

Leeds urged to bid for Kudus in stunning move

Leeds United could look to sign Mohammed Kudus in an ambitious bid to West Ham United, according to Martin Allen.

The former Hammers midfielder has doubted that many Premier League clubs would take the Ghanaian should he leave the London Stadium this summer, and could be a marquee arrival at Elland Road if Leeds earn promotion.

Allen also hinted that relations between Leeds and West Ham could be closer following the switch of Crysencio Summerville to East London last year.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Allen said: “Who would sign him?

“All other clubs looking in would worry about his goal return so I would question if any top Premier League teams would take him.

“*Clubs coming up, maybe Leeds would take a chance on him after Summerville went the other way.*“

Ex-Leeds and England man admits complacency

Leeds were perhaps complacent in recent games which has contributed to slowing down their promotion charge, according to Paul Robinson.

The former Whites and England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, was previously adamant that the Premier League was already in sight.

Robinson has analysed recent performances which now see Farke’s men only lead the Championship table on goal difference to Sheffield United, just two points clear of third-placed Burnley having taken four points from a possible nine.

He said: “I thought that was it done as well. I fell into that trap. I thought that was a massive win, a statement win. And I think the feeling at Bramall Lane that night was that was it, Leeds are going up, who’s coming up with them.

“Two down at QPR, they showed a lot of heart, a lot of fight to get back into that game to get back to 2-2. The win against Millwall, it’s a game you’d expect them to win. Defeat against Portsmouth, I suspect was the poorest of performances, although I don’t think they deserved to come away with a defeat, in all honesty.

“Too many draws for me. You look at the draws this season, you look at the top of the league and you look where the three teams are, Leeds have got too many draws if they want to go up automatically. I still think they will.”

Newcastle United want to nab prized Leeds prodigy

Newcastle United could swoop in to try and sign Leeds prospect Harry Gray this summer, according to TBR Football (19 March).

Gray – the younger brother of academy success story Archie, now at Tottenham Hotspur – has already been involved with the first-team squad under Farke during pre-season last year.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are on cloud nine having ended their 70-year major trophy drought with Carabao Cup triumph over Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday (16 March).

The Magpies are now understood to be considering a move for one of the most highly-rated Whites stars at Thorp Arch, as 16-year-old Gray represents the England Under-17 side.

Leeds could have a fight on their hands to keep hold of Gray, who is unable to sign a fully-fledged professional deal until October this year, when he turns 17.
