LOS ANGELES - Many teams made big moves ahead of the NBA trade deadline last Thursday, highlighted by Luka Doncic joining the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for big man Anthony Davis.

While the Clippers didn’t make as big of a splash, they made some notable deals, including sending fan-favorite Terance Mann and Bones Hyland to Atlanta for Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Disgruntled PJ Tucker, who did not play in a single game this season as the Clippers shopped for a suitor, got his wish and was sent to Utah, along with Mo Bamba, for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.

Since then, Bamba was waived, and PJ Tucker was traded two more times. He was expected to re-join the Miami Heat, who then traded the 39-year-old to Toronto in the Jimmy Butler trade. However, Tucker is not expected to suit up for the Raptors and is set to reach a buyout agreement with the organization.

The Clippers also acquired MarJon Beauchamp from the Milwaukee Bucks in a trade for Kevin Porter Jr.

After the trade deadline, Ben Simmons and the Brooklyn Nets agreed to a contract buyout over the weekend.

After entering the buyout market, the three-time All-Star then reportedly met with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Clippers. Simmons then signed with the Clippers after clearing waivers.

Simmons has averaged 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 25 minutes per game.

The Clippers are taking a chance on another injury-prone player. In his three years with Brooklyn, the 28-year-old guard only had a single season where he played more than 40 games.

In 2022, the Nets traded James Harden to the 76ers for Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond. Now, Harden and Simmons are set to become teammates.

Simmons joins a Clippers team aiming to maintain a top six spot in the Western Conference before the playoffs begin this spring.
