LOS ANGELES - It’s the moment fans of the Los Angeles Lakers have been waiting for since it was announced global superstar Luka Doncic was joining the team following a blockbuster trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks.
The 25-year-old suffered a calf injury on Christmas Day 2024 that kept him sidelined during his final days as a Maverick and his initial days as a Laker.
Doncic was listed as questionable on Sunday night's injury report and the latest update lists him as probable for Monday night's home game against the Utah Jazz, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported.
During his introductory press conference, Doncic explained this is the first time in his career that he's taken his time to fully recover from an injury.
"For the first time I took my time, other times I just wanted to get back on the court. This time I took my time to get back to 100%," Doncic explained.

Luka Gives Back
It hasn't taken Doncic long to make a mark in his new city.
On Monday, the Luka Doncic Foundation announced it has donated $500,000 to wildfire recovery relief.
