Alabama’s Jalen Milroe Compared to Eagles Super Bowl Champion by Robert Griffin III

The Alabama Crimson Tide won the SEC Championship in 2023 on the strength of quarterback Jalen Milroe's arms and legs, leading to to a Rose Bowl appearance against eventual national champion Michigan that ended in disappointment.

Milroe and the Crimson Tide came within a whisker of the 2025 College Football Playoff, falling short again and losing to the Wolverines in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

On Wednesday, the former Alabama star was praised by a former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Robert Griffin III, who took stock of the Crimson Tide legend's performances on the football field, comparing him to a recent Super Bowl champion in anticipation of a potentially great NFL career.

"Jalen Milroe blazes to a 4.37 in the 40 yard dash. He is this draft classes' Justin Fields," Griffin III wrote on Wednesday.

"In the right situation and with the right pieces around him, he possesses ELITE traits that no other QB in this draft class has.

"Ceiling for him is Jalen Hurts,' Griffin III concluded.

Milroe threw for 2,844 yards last season with coach Kalen DeBoer's team, along with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He rushed for 726 yards and 20 touchdowns on an average of 4.3 yards per carry.
