ESPN Analyst Compares Jalen Milroe to NFL MVP

Could Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe be the next dual-threat superstar in the NFL?

After Milroe set the internet on fire with a blistering 4.37 40-yard dash at Alabama's Pro Day, Pat McAfee of 'The Pat McAfee Show' wasted no time drawing comparisons between the Crimson Tide quarterback and a former Heisman winner and multiple NFL MVP superstar.

On Wednesday's show, McAfee and his crew told his listeners that Milroe's ceiling as a professional has been compared to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, thanks to his ability to shred defenses with his legs and a strong arm capable of burning secondaries over the top in the passing game.

"There aren't a whole lot of Lamars out there. Lamar Jackson has gotten better every year he has been in the NFL. He has become one of the top passers in the NFL. However, if Milroe has the opportunity to sit behind somebody, he could develop as a tremendous passer from within the pocket like Lamar."

McAfee also pointed towards Milroe's electrifying intangibles that makes him worthy of being considered an NFL player as a whole.

"With the ball in his hands, he is very strong, very elusive, and he's faster than anyone on the field. How do we give him the football as much as possible while he continues to develop as a quarterback"?

While the 40-yard dash isn't everything, Milroe's blazing time at Alabama's Pro Day in Tuscaloosa could very well cause his draft stock to skyrocket in the blink of an eye.

There's no doubt that one team will give Milroe a chance to prove himself in the NFL. Who knows-he might just end up being football's next big thing.
