The Los Angeles Lakers are currently without LeBron James, who's nursing a left groin injury he sustained during their March 8 showdown with the Boston Celtics. With that said, the team has been relying on superstar guard Luka Doncic to help them win games.
Unfortunately, Doncic landed on the injury report before the Lakers' clash with the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday.
The Slovenian star played in their previous game against the San Antonio Spurs and dropped a near triple-double of 21 points, nine rebounds and 14 assists. While he's coming off a big game and was only listed as probable with a right ankle sprain, his injury was still a big concern because the Lakers cannot afford any more injury blows at this point of the campaign.
Luckily, Doncic was cleared to play hours before tip-off, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic.
"Luka Doncic (right ankle sprain) has been upgraded to available for tonight's game vs. Denver, per the Lakers," Buha wrote on X.

The Lakers have lost three of their last five games without LeBron James. They have won their last two contests, though, and they should be able to compete at a high level with Doncic in the fold.
L.A. actually played the Nuggets last Friday and made life hard for them even though they didn't have either James and Doncic for the game. With the latter suiting up this time around, hopes are high that the Lakers can continue their winning streak.
