Cowboys Fans React to Cooper Rush’ Parting Message

The Baltimore Ravens have a new backup for star quarterback Lamar Jackson. This is after Cooper Rush signed a two-year contract in free agency with a maximum value of $12.2 million.

This also means that Rush has parted ways with the Dallas Cowboys, which is the same team he started his NFL career eight years ago.

On Wednesday, Rush took to Instagram to officially break his social media silence on his move to Baltimore. The 31-year-old sent an emotional parting message as he bid farewell to the Cowboys.

"From an undrafted rookie wearing #7 to an eight year veteran wearing #10, I appreciated every moment in a Cowboys uniform," he wrote. "Thank you Dallas for all of the love that you showed to me and family. I'm excited for the next chapter but forever grateful for the first one."

Cowboys fans quickly reacted to Rush's post, expressing their appreciation for all that Rush had done for the team over the past eight years. Some could not help but get emotional in their messages for their now-former quarterback.

"Sad to see you go but THANK YOU for your time in Dallas and giving it your best!! " a comment on Instagram read.

"Gonna miss you king" said another.

"Thank you Coop Best of luck with your entire Career " wrote a fan.

"greatest backup qb of all time," declared a supporter.

"you did as good as a backup can you earned your spot in this league " wrote another.

"You are a perfect 10. Thank you for being the Best QB on the @dallascowboys roster. Now that you are gone they will be kicking themselves. Will still be cheering for you," a reaction read.

Rush played a total of 38 games during his memorable stint with the Cowboys. He holds a 9-5 QB record in 14 starts and has 3,463 passing yards to his name (with a 60.7% passing completion rate) along with 20 touchdowns.
