Barca tie down exciting teen Virgili down to new contract

Barcelona have confirmed that exciting young attacker Jan Virgili has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

Virgili arrived in the summer from Gimnàstic de Tarragona and has already caught the eye, scoring a brilliant Messi-esque goal against Dortmund in UEFA Youth League.

The 18-year-old has now committed his immediate future to the club by penning a contract extension.

“FC Barcelona and player Jan Virgili have reached an agreement to extend his contract for two more seasons, which will keep him with the Club until June 30, 2027,” read a club statement.

Barca’s new deal for Virgili is a good move as he looks a really exciting prospect and now has another couple of seasons to show what he can do at the club.

It will be worth keeping a close eye on the teenager to see if he can impress and prove he has what it takes to go all the way at Barca.
