SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler continues to test the depth of his jump shot and knocked down a corner three against the Washington Wizards.
The third-year big man is working to expand his range at the request of the Jazz coaching staff, resulting in five attempts in the first half on Wednesday night.
“Walker has been working a ton on some of his three-point shooting and we’re trying to give him some opportunity here these next 14 games to continue to put it into practice in the game,” Jazz coach Will Hardy said.

Kessler has now attempted 16 threes in his last 10 quarters of basketball but has knocked down just two in the process.
“It gives me confidence to know that he wants me to expand my game in that way,” Kessler said of the opportunity.
Walker Kessler Made Available Against Wizards
The Jazz are looking to snap a 10-game losing streak in a battle of the NBA’s two worst teams.
Both the Jazz and the Wizards have won just 15 games this season, though the teams appear to be headed in different directions.
The Jazz’s losing streak is the longest in the NBA, while the Wizards are 5-5 in their last 10 games, their best stretch of the season.
