Arsenal appear set for a blockbuster summer transfer window with several moves lined up. As Thomas Partey and Jorginho are still expected to depart, Martin Zubimendi has emerged as the clear replacement with a deal to sign him from Real Sociedad seemingly at an advanced stage.
Additions further up the pitch are also a priority with injuries exposing a significant lack of depth in Mikel Arteta's squad. The absence of an elite-level striker has also cost the Gunners on numerous occasions with the hope being that one of Alexander Isak or Benjamin Sesko will join.
Keeping hold of certain marquee players will also be important with talk of William Saliba to Real Madrid often inciting panic. While that interest has somewhat cooled, his centre-back partner Gabriel Magalhaes has now been linked with an exit.
The likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Bukayo Saka signing new contracts will also be important with both players in ongoing talks over extensions. With that said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.
Nwaneri value rockets
Such has been his rapid rise into the senior team, Nwaneri has seen his market value quadruple and then some in the space of just 12 months. Back in March 2024, the teenager was valued at just £6.7million (€8m) but transfermarkt have now revealed, as of Tuesday, March 18, he is worth £46.1million (€55m).
football.london says: Given his impact over the last few months, it is no surprise to see such a sizeable increase in Nwaneri's value. While his pathway into the senior team has been fast-tracked due to injuries, he has handled the task and pressure very well.
Arteta has still been able to manage his minutes carefully though with the return of Gabriel Martinelli seeing him moved back to the bench. As he turns 18 in just a few days, a lot will change for Nwaneri and on current trajectory, it likely won't be long before he is a regular starter for both club and country.
To avoid burnout so early into his career, Arteta will likely continue airing on the side of caution to ensure he is capable of being a staple of the club going forward.
Gabriel summer exit stance
Gabriel on the other hand, plays almost every minute for Arsenal with that seeming to have caught the attention of Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Middle East outfit are intent on signing Gabriel and are prepared to offer a salary in the region of £16.9million (€20m). It is also understood the Brazilian would be open to a move to Saudi Arabia at some point in his career, but the Gunners are unlikely to consider any offers under £84million (€100m).
football.london says: It is no surprise that Arsenal have set such a firm stance on selling Gabriel, but it has also become clear he is not untouchable.
Despite his importance, he will turn 28 early into next season and if the Gunners can cash in then it could make sense to do so having bought him for £27milllion. Considering the money available in Saudi Arabia and Gabriel's development, Al-Nassr actually having to pay £100million for his services cannot be ruled out.
In the current landscape of football and financial concerns, every player is seemingly now available at the right price. Nonetheless, this would be a very hard deal to actually pull off with Arsenal instead hoping to extend his contract.
