4-Star Michigan Target Sends 3-Word Message After Trimming Wish List to 4 Schools

The Michigan Wolverines have put together some of the best offensive lineman classes in the country in recent years, culminating with 2024's crop of offensive line that included NFL players Trevor Keegan, Zak Zinter, and Drake Nugent among others.

Michigan is expected to return a strong offensive line next season with possible contributions from freshmen including Andrew Babalola and Avery Gach possible.

The Wolverines, led by former offensive lineman Sherrone Moore, are still working to build a class of offensive line capable of carrying the torch in 2026 and beyond, including a four-star, in-state Class of 2026 mauler who could become a plus player for his home state Wolverines for years to come.

On Wednesday, in-state lineman Gregory Patrick of Portage Northern High School in Michigan narrowed his final wish list down to four schools: James Franklin's Penn State Nittany Lions, Moore's Michigan Wolverines, Marcus Freeman's Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Jonathan Smith of the Michigan State Spartans.

Patrick retweeted a journalist's message with a three-word message of his own, foreshadowing the situation.

"Yessir let's go," Patrick wrote with a fire emoji, sharing his excitement toward getting on with his final college football choice.

Patrick is a 6-foot-5 interior lineman from Portage, Michigan who has a place in the top 100 of On3.com's latest rankings for the 2026 class.

He is the number one recruit in the state of Michigan, who could continue Michigan's tradition of having one of the top offensive lines in the Big Ten Conference and the nation if he chooses to sign on the dotted line with coach Moore's team.
