Luka Doncic put on a show for the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets.
Right off the bat in the first quarter, he already had a big game going. He scored 21 points in the first 12 minutes of the game.
At the end of the game, he had scored 31 points on 10-for-21 shooting and also grabbed nine rebounds to go along with seven assists, two steals, and a block.
Austin Reaves chipped in with another big game for the Lakers as well. He dropped in 22 points, eight assists, and five rebounds.
During the game, Doncic got into a back-and-forth exchange with Nuggets' forward Peyton Watson.
As shared by Lakers All Day Everyday on X, one specific video camera angle captured Doncic talking smack to Watson after knocking down a three.
Not only did Doncic have a big game, he also led his Los Angeles team to a 120-108 win.
With the win, the Lakers moved to 43-25 on the season. Denver ended up dropping to 44-26.
Los Angeles has bounced back from losing four straight games by winning its last three. Doncic has taken his game to another level with LeBron James sidelined due to a groin injury.
Heading into the game against the Nuggets, Doncic had played in 15 games with the Lakers. He was averaging 26.2 points per game to go along with 8.8 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 1.9 steals.
According to StatMamba, Doncic also reached a major accomplishment. He became the fastest player in franchise history to record 50 or more three-point shots made.
