On March 13-14, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Laoag visited the Province of Benguet, and met Governor Melchor Diclas and Vice Governor Ericson Felipe.
The two sides exchanged views on strengthening friendly cooperation between Chinese provinces and Benguet in the fields of agriculture, medical care, economy and trade, education, and tourism.
Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang visited Benguet State University (BSU) and met President Kenneth Laruan. They exchanged views on deepening exchanges between Chinese universities and BSU, cooperation in Chinese language teaching, and education of international students.
Ren also visited the Agribased Technology Business Incubator/Innovation Center of BSU, the local Strawberry Festival and the Strawberry Fields and Farm, and expressed satisfaction with the application of Chinese packaging technology and products in this Filipino major vegetable-producing province.
