Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers won 120-108 Wednesday night against playoff rival the Denver Nuggets at Crypto.com Arena. This marks the Lakers' ninth-straight home win, the longest streak since 2018 (via ESPN Broadcast).
In a game where Los Angeles never trailed, Doncic was the engine with his 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in the first quarter. The Slovenian superstar is just the third player in NBA history to put up these numbers in a quarter, joining Devin Booker and Fred VanVleet (via StatMuse).
Without playing the fourth quarter, Doncic finished the contest with 31 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists on 47.6% shooting.
The five-time All-Star spoke postgame about his increased comfort with the Lakers since being traded from the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 1.
"It just feels like getting into a new home," said Doncic. "Coming here, trying to build a new home and I'm getting more and more comfortable."

He was also asked about the Lakers' defensive turnaround and responded by saying (via LoJo Media), "I think everyone's connected on the defensive end."
This marks Doncic's seventh 30-point game in his last 10 appearances. In the five-time First-Team All-NBA member's 15 games with the Lakers, Doncic is averaging 26.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 1.9 steals.
