Ruben Amorim excited over two of Man Utd’s most talented academy players, they’re knocking on the door

Ruben Amorim is beginning to demonstrate the dedication to using the youth that excited Manchester United fans.

To be the head coach of the Red Devils is more than just managing a team, but it also comes with the necessity of following some unwritten rules.

Utilising the academy is ingrained within Manchester United’s history and so Ruben Amorim was always going to be required to continue this tradition.

Amorim gave 27 academy debuts at Sporting CP, while early days in his United career seem set to follow a similar trend.

Amorim has awarded two United academy players their debut already, with both Chido Obi and Harry Amass stepping into the first team.

Now, two others are banging on the door for United to follow in the footsteps of their teammates and become academy graduate number 254.

Ruben Amorim excited by Jack Fletcher and Jack Moorhouse

As the season winds down, and the situation at Old Trafford becomes less chaotic, further youngsters should be handed the chance to step up.

Now according to a reliable academy news X account, MUFC Academy, midfield duo Jack Fletcher and Jack Moorhouse are highly appreciated by Amorim.

It is mentioned that this does not necessarily ensure they will be handed a debut, but it does make them two names to keep an eye on.

Amorim only has nine Premier League games remaining, so we would imagine the Europa League will be the priority which could see youngsters handed the chance to impress for the first team.

What would Fletcher and Moorhouse bring to Manchester United?

One area lacking options for Manchester United right now is those two number 10 positions, due to injuries with Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount all absent.

Both Fletcher and Moorhouse have subsequently seen themselves on the United bench often, but the next step for Amorim will be giving them some minutes, which is ultimately deserved.

Fletcher is becoming undeniable for United, with his standards now simply beyond youth football which sees him dominate when played for the U21s or U18s.

Meanwhile, Moorhouse is ready to be Amorim’s own Paul Pogba with his ball-carrying already elite.

Both would offer United creativity and legs behind the striker and it would be a huge shock if neither debuted this season.
