Report: Everton setback as Armando Broja development out of Albania emerges ahead of England…

Armando Broja has had a season to forget at Everton, with the striker barely even playing due to his injury issues.

This has been the story for a number of Everton players who have also suffered from considerable injury blows.

David Moyes is still dealing with a number of injury issues on Merseyside heading into April following the current international break.

There has been some positive news of late with Everton welcoming Dwight McNeil back to training over recent days.

However, there are a number of players who have seen their seasons effectively written off due to their issues.

One of those is Broja and an update has emerged from the Albania national side ahead of their game on Friday against England.

Everton receive Armando Broja injury update from Albania

Broja returned to Everton training last week ahead of the draw against West Ham over the weekend.

The 23-year-old was even handed a run out by Moyes from the bench with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game.

However, the news coming out of Albania’s camp does not seem so positive ahead of their game at Wembley Stadium.

According to Albanian outlet Gazeta Sport, Broja is not considered to be in the correct physical condition to face England.

Those at Everton obviously felt confident enough for the striker to join up with his national side, but it seems he has not been given the green light by Albania to play.

The international break is usually about avoiding any injuries, but this time around it could have provided Broja some much needed minutes.

Everton tried to send Broja back to Chelsea over the January window following his latest injury issue.

With just a matter of weeks remaining in the season, the striker has it all to do if he is to secure himself a permanent move to Merseyside.

Everton need to sign a new striker this summer

Although it will be even more frustrating for the player, this season has been a complete disaster for Broja on Merseyside.

Adding to that, Dominic Calvert-Lewin still has not signed a new contract, with his time at Everton looking set to be over this summer.

Fortunately, Beto has found some form, otherwise, this season could have turned out much differently at Goodison Park.

Moyes was keen for Everton to add a new attacker in January, and the club will have no other choice but to do so in the summer.

With Broja and potentially Calvert-Lewin set to depart, replacements are going to have to be found by the Friedkins.
