'I saw it' - Benfica star responds to Man City transfer question amid Ederson claims

Manchester City have been linked with Anatoliy Trubin

Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin has admitted he is aware of Manchester City's transfer interest but has given nothing away on a potential move to the Premier League.

Trubin has been linked with a move to City after impressing with Benfica this season. The Ukraine international has conceded 20 goals in 23 games and recorded an impressive 10 clean sheets.

He also produced a number of eye-catching performances in the Champions League, managing four clean sheets in 12 goals. At 23, Trubin is being linked with a mega-money move in the summer.

City are believed to be one of the clubs keen on signing the goalkeeper with reports suggesting an overhaul of the goalkeeping department could emerge at the end of the season.

Ederson has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia while it's unclear whether Pep Guardiola will hand Stefan Ortega a chance as his permanent number one. Trubin was linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium in January, reports the goalkeeper read.

"I don't know, I saw it on the interest just like you," he said via Sport.ua. "Right now, I'm completely focused on the national team, then on Benfica.

"Because there's an important stretch of championships and cups ahead, and everything else needs to be postponed for later."

According to Transfermarkt.com, Trubin has a market value of €25million (£20.9m). His contract in Lisbon runs until 2028 meaning City may face paying closer to £30m to land him in the summer.
