Newcastle United could add to their Brazilian contingent this summer.
The Magpies already have Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, two players who are now legends at St James’ Park after ending the club’s trophy drought.
Bruno lifted the Carabao Cup on Sunday, as Newcastle beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley. Joelinton was Newcastle’s best player, putting in a commanding and dominant performance in the middle of the park.
Now a third Brazilian could be brought to St James’ Park, with Newcastle interested in Matheus Cunha.

Newcastle United handed Matheus Cunha boost
Given the season he is having at Wolves, Cunha is a very exciting target – despite his disciplinary issues.
While his suspension woes are something that Newcastle United will consider, a move away from Molineux appears to loom.
According to Give Me Sport, Cunha is likely to leave Wolves during the summer transfer window.
That is forcing Wolves to stand firm over Joao Gomes, who is also attracting transfer interest.

Vitor Pereira does not want to lose two important players, and Cunha is seen as the player much more likely to leave due to his release clause.
Newcastle can sign Cunha for £62.5million, but will face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Newcastle United target is currently away with Bruno Guimaraes
In the meantime, Cunha is away on international duty. He is part of the Brazil squad alongside two of Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup champions.
Interestingly, Cunha has been spending time with Bruno Guimaraes. The Newcastle United captain posted a selfie of the duo on his official Instagram story, as they prepare to face Colombia and Argentina in World Cup qualifiers.
Bruno and Cunha have played alongside each other in the past, having been part of the Brazil Under-23s squad that won gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
They have never played together at club level, and it remains to be seen if that will change this summer.
