West Ham Zone Speaking to Martin Allen

Danny Ings is in desperate need of regular football but is unlikely to get that at West Ham.
It is safe to say that things haven’t worked out for the three-time England international since moving to the London Stadium in January 2023.
This came off the back of a poor spell at Aston Villa where the 32-year-old also failed to live up to the quality shown during his time at Southampton.
Given that Graham Potter has been reluctant to trust the striker since coming in, a summer exit could now be on the cards.

Ings could leave West Ham for the Championship
There is little use for the former Burnley striker in East London right now as Evan Ferguson has come in to push him even further down the pecking order.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
This has seen the Englishman play just 270 minutes in the Premier League with just 92 of those coming since the turn of the year.

Danny Ings West Ham stats (24/25)
Although there is no place for him in claret and blue, there is no doubting Ings’ quality which could certainly be useful for another club.
With that being said, his wages are too high considering his importance in E20 and former Irons midfielder Martin Allen has suggested an exit to the Championship could suit all parties.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “His basic wages are very high so West Ham will be wanting to cut as much as they possibly can moving into the new season.
“If someone is willing to take him on a free contract, it would save West Ham a lot of money.
“They will be looking to cut his basic salary and put that into signing another player for the starting 11 rather than the bench.
“When he has come on he’s been alright but he hasn’t had many chances.
“*A club in the Championship would definitely take Danny Ings because he will score goals and he will win you games.*“

Ings destined for West Ham exit
Since taking over from Julen Lopetegui, Potter has opted to utilise Jarrod Bowen as the Hammers’ main number nine option.
While the England international was injured, the head coach even opted to start Lucas Paqueta as a false nine, summing up Ings’ role.
If this wasn’t enough to push the striker out of the London Stadium during the winter, the summer window surely represents the end of the road.
Moving the 32-year-old on will allow him to get more minutes, and the Hammers can cut their wage bill back while another side gets a useful striker, it appears to be an ideal deal for all parties.
