Bengals bring in Oregon offensive lineman for pre-draft visit

The Cincinnati Bengals are now starting to turn to NFL Draft mode. With some solid moves already completed this offseason, now it appears the front office will turn their attention to landing some rookies to help fill out the holes on the roster.

A position group that has struggled mightily over the last few seasons is the offensive line. Although better than the early years of the Joe Burrow era, there are still some depth issues for a unit that seemingly can not stay healthy. That is exactly why they are looking for some depth pieces in the draft.

According to a new report by James Crepea of The Oregonian, the Bengals are one of the teams that will host Oregon Ducks offensive lineman Josh Conerly for a visit. He will also visit the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Oregon OT Josh Conerly Jr. has top 30 visits scheduled with Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles & Washington Commanders, per league source.

Conerly, an offensive tackle from Seattle, seems to be an interesting fit especially with both tackle spots already filled. However, if Conerly could project to either move to guard or would be a solid swing tackle, it could be a good pick at a good point of the draft.

At 6-4 and 315 pounds, Conerly is currently ranked as a top-40 Draft prospect, according to Jordan Reid of ESPN. If that holds, he could be a player we see targeted in the second round

It will be interesting to follow going forward.
