What other analysts are saying about Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson
NFL Network’s draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah on RB TreVeyon Henderson
Henderson is a muscled-up runner with elite speed and versatility. He is patient to the hole before exploding through with high knees. He has long speed to destroy pursuit angles once he gets into the open field. He needs to improve his contact balance, though. Too often, his feet stop when met at or near the line of scrimmage. He has the lower-body strength to power through if he keeps driving his feet. In the passing game, he runs a wide variety of routes with quickness and savvy. He has strong, reliable hands. He’s an elite pass protector. He is quick to identify blitzers and attack them. He strains to finish, sometimes well after the ball has been caught down the field. Overall, Henderson is a three-down weapon, brimming with big-play potential.
NFL.com’s draft analyst Lance Zierlein on RB TreVeyon Henderson
Henderson is capable of starring on third downs or biting off a bigger chunk as a three-down option. He has average size but above-average juice with good acceleration. He’s an average decision-maker inside and is not overly creative once confronted by the defense, but he has the pacing and subtle shiftiness to excel as an outside runner. He might be the best pass-protecting running back in this draft and is more than capable as a pass-catcher. Henderson isn’t Jahmyr Gibbs, but he can operate in a similar role for teams looking to add a more dynamic player to their running back room.

Final Thoughts
I’m a big Henderson fan and believe he could be part of the answer at running back. They need two backs and Henderson can be the ‘Joker’ of the tandem. He is an explosive back who can house it whenever he has the ball in his hands.
Sean Payton loves his screens and getting Henderson in space with the ball is dangerous. We saw how he used Reggie Bush and Darren Sproles in the past and I believe that is how he would use Henderson.
The Broncos running back room is not great right now. Jaleel McLaughlin is an undersized back who is not the answer moving forward. Audric Estime had hype but was a healthy scratch for their playoff game vs. the Bills. So, the Broncos need some new life in their backfield and I believe Henderson could be that guy.
I think 20th overall might be a tad early for Henderson but if both Jeanty and Hampton are off the board you may need to pull the trigger if you want him. I have my doubts that he will be there in the second round but if he is, I would pull the trigger there too.
