As England looked to their bench, 17-year-old Shumaira Mheuka was brought on, and made an instant impact as he found the net too to wrap up a 2-0 win.

The striker showed immense footwork in the box to work an opportunity for himself, and proved he has more than enough quality to make an impact on the first team this season.

Mheuka pushing for more first team opportunities

In Chelsea’s striker injury crisis, Mheuka has been handed limited chances to make his mark for Enzo Maresca in the first team.

Mheuka almost broke a Premier League record when he saw a shot saved just seconds into his Premier League debut, and he was given his first start for the club in the Conference League against Copenhagen.

The youngster was taken off at half-time after a tough 45 minutes, although has remained in the matchday squad since as the Blues await the return of Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu.

With there being no clarity yet over when either will return, there may still be a chance for Mheuka to show he should be considered even when they are fit again.
