Caoimhin Kelleher has emerged as Leeds United’s number-one target for the summer transfer window if they get promoted to the Premier League. The Whites need a new number-one goalkeeper next summer and want the Irishman to replace Illan Meslier between the sticks if they are playing top-flight football next season.
Meslier has been blamed for Leeds not running away with the league this season and while that could be harsh, the Frenchman has made several high-profile errors this season.

Caoimhin Kelleher is unlikely to play again this season
Kelleher was in goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat against Newcastle United in the final of the EFL Cup last weekend and according to the Liverpool ECHO, it could be his last game for the Reds.
He has largely been a cup goalkeeper again this season while Alisson Becker has been fit and Liverpool are already out of all the cup competitions.
Liverpool are massive favourites to win the Premier League and Arne Slot will likely stick with Alisson in goal for the rest of the season as he won’t likely take any chance.
For Kelleher to get a league game this season, Liverpool would have to wrap up the league with games to spare, which should give the number 2 goalkeeper a chance to get a proper farewell.
He will have a year left on his contract and is almost certain to move on from Anfield given his desperation to play football week-in-week-out.

Liverpool are ready to sell him and respects his want for regular football while they prepare to welcome a new goalkeeper in Giorgi Mamardashvili in the summer.
Leeds, Chelsea and Bournemouth are interested in signing him and while Tottenham were keen too, they can’t offer him guarantees of being their number one.

There were claims that the Reds could sell him for as little as £20m in the next window given he will be available on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Liverpool are unlikely to get as much as £40m, which they previously wanted, but they won’t sell him on the cheap and will still demand a significant sum.
It could take somewhere between £25m and £30m before the Reds agree to sell the goalkeeper in the next transfer window.
