Manchester United have been linked with Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres for some time now, with his incredible form making it no surprise that he’s generating interest.
Another reason for the links is with Ruben Amorim having moved from Sporting to Old Trafford, it’s known that both men would love to reunite.
With United’s striker force of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to show consistency, signing a new, prolific striker is vital this summer, with Gyokeres considered one of the club’s top four targets.
However, his reunion with Amorim may be as opponents as third-place Nottingham Forest has declared interest in the Swedish striker.

Nottingham Forest rival Manchester United for Viktor Gyokeres
Football Transfers has reported that Forest have initiated contact with the Portuguese side over a potential deal for the summer.
Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is keen to restore the club back to its former glories, competing at the top level of football, believing that a big signing like Gyokeres would help to do this.
The 26-year-old is considered the perfect successor for 34-year-old Chris Wood, with Forest set for a place in the Champions League next season.
Whilst Wood has registered 18 goals and three assists in 32 games for Forest, Gyokeres is on 40 goals and 10 assists in 41 games, doubling Wood’s goal contributions.
It’s expected that a move for Gyokeres would get across the line with a transfer fee of around £50 million.
However, Forest will need to pull out all the stops to land the striker, with Europe’s elite also monitoring the in-form star.
