The Buffalo Bills clearly went into the offseason with a plan on how to improve the roster with an eye on a potential matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs.
Josh Allen needed a new speed weapon - enter Joshua Palmer on a three-year deal to give Joe Brady a receiver with home-run speed.
Then, the Bills needed pass-rushing help after moving on from Von Miller, and Joey Bosa, Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi (even with the latter two dealing with season-starting suspensions) came to the AFC East champs.
Plus, the franchise retained the services of key players Khalil Shakir, Greg Rousseau, and Terrel Bernard to add some juice to their offseason dealings.
For ESPN, when asking if the Bills had executed their offseason plan, the answer was simple.
"Largely, yes," ESPN writes. "The Bills addressed every position that stood out and added talent. There's still work to be done, especially with two defensive linemen facing six-game suspensions, but the Bills extended many of their own and improved the roster."
There could be a few more moves that the Bills could make, and one is re-signing running back James Cook.
Entering the final year of his rookie deal in 2025, Cook has made it clear he wants to be paid like a top back in the NFL, and with all the other re-signings, James is still waiting on his.

Could Allen do with another weapon? Or the defense some secondary help? Both could be filled in the draft instead of free agency, but so far, the Bills have done exactly what they planned on doing.
But is it enough to close the gap on the Chiefs? That, my friends, is up for debate.
