'I like West Ham': 6ft 4in powerhouse Argentinian drops hint that he wants to join Hammers

One player has just really randomly opened up on his love for West Ham United.

Graham Potter is said to be keen to add more dynamism and youth to his West Ham ranks this summer.

West Ham have the oldest squad in the Premier League, and it’s an incredibly unbalanced one.

That’s why Potter is allegedly planning such a big squad revamp at theLondon Stadium.

The Hammers head coach needs to strengthen pretty much every single department of his squad.

Central defence is an area in need of attention, and the door may have just been swung wide open for Potter to seal a deal for a top-class player.

Kevin Lomonaco shares his love for West Ham

The Argentinian has opened up on his admiration for the Hammers during an interview in his homeland.

Kevin Lomonaco ahred his love for West Ham, when speaking to Olga.

The 23-year-old Red Bull Bragantino-owned centre-back said:

“I really like the Premier League, it’s what I watch the most. An English league team? I like West Ham.“

Now, those comments are incredibly interesting, given the need for a new centre-back at the London Stadium this summer.

If Graham Potter is to persist with a back five, then the addition of a new central defender during the off-season will be an absolute necessity.

Lomonaco is currently spending the season on loan with Independiente.

Who would Kevin Lomonaco replace at West Ham

In 10 appearances for Independiente this season, he’s won 11 tackles and has made 11 interceptions. (FBREF).

The 23-year-old defender is incredibly strong in the air, and possesses all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.

If West Ham do sign Kevin Lomonaco this summer, it will surely be the end of the road for Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The Greek centre-back is a disaster waiting to happen every single time he steps on the pitch.

And whilst Lomonaco is not a household name, nor does he have any experience of Premier League football, I still believe he’d be a big upgrade on Mavropanos at the London Stadium.

Could the 23-year-old really follow the likes of Carlos Tevez, Javier Mascherano, Mauro Zarate, Manuel Lanzini, Jonathan Calleri, Pablo Zabaleta, and Guido Rodríguez in representing the Hammers?

It remains to be seen whether or not the Hammers act on the Argentinian’s hint.
