"You win, you lose, everything can happen and I understand this, but what is very difficult for me to understand is some refereeing decisions," Ataman said - among other things- in the post-game presser.
Ataman has been sanctioned with a fine of €10,000 for comments regarding the officiating performance, in accordance with Article 24.2.c) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
Giannakopoulos, the majority shareholder of the club, has been sanctioned with a fine of €15,000 for statements on social media regarding the officiating performance, per the same article.
Panathinaikos as a club has been sanctioned with a fine of €7,500 for comments regarding the officiating performance published on the club official website after the game.
However, the list of sanctions also includes Kendrick Nunn. The American guard has been sanctioned with a fine of €4,500 for a lack of respect towards the opposite team (Olympiacos) for a gesture he made to the home fans after a dunk in the second half of the contest.
Despite the fine imposed, Nunn will suit up with PAO against ALBA Berlin for Round 30 on Friday night.
