For most professional footballers, retirement looms large in their mid-30's. A few play on till their late-30's.

But former Ipswich Town defender Sito has smashed through both of those milestones - and is still playing at the age of 44 for Spanish side CD Arnedo.

The Spanish full-back has been at the fifth tier side since last summer, having joined from league rivals CD Berceo.

Sito has played for multiple clubs in his native Spain, mostly the lower leagues, since leaving the Blues in the summer of 2008.

He spent three seasons at Portman Road, having been signed by Joe Royle on a free transfer from Racing Club de Ferrol in 2005 after a trial.

Overall, Sito made 63 appearances for Town, scoring one goal during his spell at the club.

Now in the mid-40s, the Spaniard is mainly used off the bench and helps in a coaching capacity as his outfit look to push for promotion to the fourth tier.
