Zadorsky relishing Hammers home derby with Spurs

Rehanne Skinner's side host their London rivals at Dagenham & Redbridge's Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday, with a midday kick-off.

And after a 17-day break from playing, they know a win will see them climb above the north Londoners.

Zadorsky said: "We always want to play games, we're footballers and that's the best part about it.

"But we've done a lot of work on the \[training\] pitch to prepare us for Sunday’s game. It’s exciting to be back in action.

"We've got a lot of miles in the legs and I think we can come into this game excited and fresh."

Hammers clinched a deserved point against high-flying Manchester City in their previous outing on March 5, as Manuela Pavi grabbed a stoppage-time equaliser.

And Zadorsky admits that has helped create a feel-good factor in their camp, adding: "I think our recent form is really positive and we want to take that forward.

"Getting a point at home against City was a huge result and I think, especially in the first half, we really dominated and did well.

"I think we need to take the positives from that and I'm so excited to play at home again."

West Ham have enjoyed home wins over Brighton and Everton in 2025, after recording successes over Crystal Palace and Leicester before the festive break.

And Canadian international Zadorksy certainly enjoys playing in front of their home fans.

"West Ham has that family feel and people are loud and supportive whenever we play at home," she said.

"We always love playing at home, we can feel that energy and we’ve really been able to make this place a fortress.

"We want to bring that forward and then also work on getting more points away from home as well."

Zadorsky, 32, first came to England to play for Spurs in 2020 and went on to make 73 appearances in all competitions before joining the Hammers on loan last season.

The Olympic gold medalist joined permanently in August and has played 28 times to date, with hopes of help the Hammers pick up as many points as possible before the campaign ends.

"When I first came to England, I was learning about the intensity of the rivalry and the derby games," she added.

"They’re something I thrive on and I love that the fans get into it. It's always a battle and it takes full energy, full concentration because both teams are going to want to win.

"There's six games left until the end of the season, so there’s a chance for us to pick up as many points as we can from the games we've got remaining?

"We're going to take each game as it comes, but we know we want to go into every game with a winning mentality and get as many points as we can between now and the end of the season."
