Jack Harrison gives Leeds United his biggest transfer admission yet

Leeds United have a loose end to tie up with Jack Harrison’s future, currently on his second successive loan spell at Everton.

The Whites had to deal with several players jumping ship through loan clauses in their contracts when they were relegated from the Premier League, but few have burned their bridges quite like Jack Harrison.

One of only two to keep going with his loan clause exploitation in Leeds’ second Championship campaign, he stayed put at Everton this season and won’t be welcome back at Elland Road, and needs to resolve his future sooner rather than later.

For everyone affiliated with Leeds right now, the hope isn’t that Harrison finds the best move possible for his career, but just leaves the club for good with a permanent exit.

The Toffees could be that solution, as they look on course for another season in the top flight with the relegation battle virtually wrapped up in the form of the three promoted teams heading back down.

As Everton head to their new Bramley Moore Dock stadium next campaign and aim for a brighter new era, Harrison told the Toffees’ in-house media that he wants to be a part of it.

“I always have confidence in my ability, so it’s just being able to show it and being able to put it on the pitch,” Harrison told Everton, quoted by Liverpool Echo.

“When it comes to belief in myself, I know I can achieve a lot more. I have a lot of ambitions, even now. Some people might say, you’re maybe getting on a bit in your career, or something, but I still have a goal, I’ve always had, that is to get into the England squad and be part of a top team in the Premier League, and hopefully I can do that with Everton.

“I think with new ownership, new manager, and going to an amazing new stadium next season, this is somewhere I want to be. It would be exciting to be part of a bigger picture and help a club get from where we have been for the past couple of years to fighting for European football again, and then even more in the way of silverware.

“With the size of Everton and this fan base, with how passionate they are, there’s no reason why the club can’t achieve that, and who wouldn’t want to be part of it?”

Harrison needs to leave Leeds ASAP, to Everton or wherever will buy him

Provided that we make a decent return on him, Leeds won’t care where Harrison is playing his football next season.

Everton might be considering other options because he’s been largely woeful this season with only one goal (deflected) to his name and no assists, but there should be other suitors.

The MLS could be a destination for him, and it makes sense given the personal factors that could come into play with him returning across the Atlantic, and the standard might suit him better as well.
