£19m Everton star speaks out after being dropped by David Moyes vs West Ham

The international break will provide a number of Everton players to hone in on their skills ahead of a daunting April.

David Moyes will be delighted with the response he has gotten from his players after being appointed back in January.

However, Everton are now finding it difficult to convert draws into victories as their unbeaten run in the Premier League stretches to nine games.

The goals have dried up over the last three games, with Beto also seeing his form dip in an Everton shirt recently.

With players like Iliman Ndiaye still out through injury, Moyes could really do with some of his attacking players to step up in front of goal.

And there is one player who has admitted he is working hard behind the scenes to get his game up to a better standard for the Everton manager.

Everton struggler wants to impress David Moyes

Jesper Lindstrom has praised Moyes after the 61-year-old took charge back in January from Sean Dyche.

However, it has not been the easiest of seasons for the Denmark international, who has struggled to find any form in front of goal.

Speaking to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, Lindstorm has admitted he is working extra hard in training to improve himself.

“We’ll see what happens, but as it stands now, I just have to fight hard and do what I can, and then we’ll see if it’s good enough,” he said.

“Now I just got an assist [against Wolves], which of course helps a little, but I also want to score some goals.

“Now there are even more games to do this with the national team, so I hope I can get on the scoreboard. I’m practising in training and training really hard.”

Lindstrom has impressed in Everton training recently, but he has still only provided just one assist all season.

That assist against Wolves did come after Moyes demanded more from Lindstrom and Jack Harrison – who ironically teamed up for the goal at Molineux.

David Moyes dropped Lindstrom vs West Ham

Although Everton may be pleased with Lindstrom, it did not prevent Moyes from dropping the winger out of the starting XI last weekend.

Everton fans were impressed by Lindstrom against Manchester United and he followed that game up with an assist against Wolves.

But Moyes tried something different against West Ham by playing both Carlos Alcaraz and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Lindstrom wants a permanent move to Everton over the summer, but he is going to have to show a lot more prowess in front of goal before the season ends if the Toffees are to trigger his £19m clause.

Moyes has said he needs more out of his attacking players and that has certainly showed over recent weeks.

This is exactly how the 61-year-old will want to see his players responding to his criticism, though.
