The Los Angeles Lakers had another big win on Wednesday, this time over the Denver Nuggets.
Luka Doncic led his team and put them in an even better position just weeks before the upcoming NBA playoffs.
Speaking on “SportsCenter,” Doncic was asked if his team is thinking about the postseason and who they may face.
Doncic confirmed that the Lakers are just going “game by game,” which he says is important because thinking of the future too much can distract from the present.
Doncic and his teammates aren’t thinking of the postseason and instead are just trying to win as much as possible right now.

The Lakers are once again the third seed in the West.
If they keep competing well, they will avoid the Play-In Tournament for the first time in years.
There was a time when they were permanent presences in the Play-In, but that may not be the case this year.
Because the Western Conference is so tight, a lot will change between now and the start of the playoffs.
The Lakers could remain toward the top, slip down, or even climb up.
That means they don’t know who they will be battling against in the opening round.
Some teams are better than others, of course, and there are fans pleading for the Lakers to be strategic so they can avoid their biggest foes.
But Doncic says they aren’t thinking about that.
They want to win now, as much as possible, and will worry about the playoffs when they start.
On Wednesday night, the Lakers weren’t worrying about much as they easily took down the Nuggets.
Will they still be so carefree and joyful when the postseason kicks off next month?
