Premier League leaders Liverpool will hope to move a step closer to the title when they face rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby at the start of April.
The Reds currently boast a 12-point lead over second-placed Arsenal at the summit of the table, although that advantage may have been cut to nine points by the time Liverpool welcome the Toffees to Anfield next month.
This summer is set to be a busy one for Liverpool, with key players Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold all currently in the final six months of their respective contracts.
The trio could all depart Anfield as free agents this summer, and those in charge of the club are therefore on the lookout for potential new recruits.
According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are one of a trio of Premier League clubs plotting a move for Ajax defender Jorrel Hato, 19.
Hato has represented The Netherlands five times at senior level
The teenage left-back has been in fine form for the Amsterdam outfit this term, and the report claims that both Chelsea and Arsenal are also interested in the player.
All three Premier League sides – as well as Spanish champions Real Madrid – are said to have scouted the player in recent months, and all four sides are now preparing offers for the teenager.
Arsenal’s need for a new left-back has been appeased somewhat by the emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly in the first team at The Emirates, while Liverpool continue to search for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have adopted a policy of signing talented young players from around the world in recent seasons.
Hato is a product of the fruitful Ajax youth academy and has now played mo0re than 100 times for the club at senior level.
He is contracted to the Amsterdam side until June 2028, which puts his current employers in a commanding position during any potential negotiations.
