Arsenal have been handed a massive blow ahead of summer transfer window. Real Madrid have joined the race for one of Mikel Arteta’s top targets as they prepare themselves for summer recoup.
Gunners are prepared for a busy summer window after making no signings in January window. They are set to welcome new stars in almost all parts of the pitch. They have attack as their top priority to improve but midfield also needs urgent attention.
Both Thomas Partey and Jorginho are set to leave at the end of the season. This will leave a huge void in the squad that should be filled immediately. As of now, multiple midfielders are linked with a move to North London.

Real Madrid join the race of Arsenal target
According to Fichajes, Madrid have set their sights on Martin Zubimendi. The Spaniard has been long term target of Arsenal who tried to sign him in summer 2024 itself. But, the deal failed as Zubimendi wanted to stay in Spain at that time.
Zubimendi is now prepared to move away from Real Sociedad. He is heavily linked with Gunners and already some talks have taken place. Despite the interest from Madrid, North London looks like his next destination. Gunners will need to trigger his €60 million release clause.
The report from Fichajes futher states that Madrid are also working hard to bring in Premier League duo this summer. They have Trent Alexander-Arnold as top right-back target whereas are also willing to pay €60 million for Dean Huijsen.
