Gaelic football may have changed under its new rules, but the GAA has continued to take lessons from basketball following its overhaul.

Meath manager Robbie Brennan highlighted this when describing the rules as “outdoor basketball with a breeze” and a mix of other sports in recent criticism of the Football Review Committee’s work.
