Aaron Rodgers Has Been Anonymously Sending Money to Aspiring Golfers

While Aaron Rodgers' NFL future remains a looming question mark, the latest chatter around the former New York Jets and Green Bay Packers quarterback focuses on a different sport: Golf.

Rodgers, 41, is reportedly taking it upon himself to attempt to help up-and-coming golfers and, to this point, has done so anonymously. People first reported the news, interviewing Ryan French, a social media influencer who helps raise funds for athletes on X account "Monday Q Info."

French revealed Rodgers's major impact on the GOLF's Subpar podcast, breaking down how the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player got involved, and explaining that he's been one of the biggest donors in recent years.

"Aaron has been super good behind the scenes to me," French said.

He explained that he saw an account under Rodgers's name pop up on a livestream he was hosting of a golf tournament. French assumed it was a fake account but said the longtime NFL quarterback reached out to him "maybe a couple of weeks later."

French explains that Rodgers will reach out to him whenever he's raising money for a golfer to ask about them and help by donating money.

"He's been super nice," French said. "He wants to keep this on the down low, so now I'm going to tell it on the pod. I've tried my best to help players, or if they get their car stolen or need money, whatever, and he'll just message me and be like, ‘Hey, is this a good dude or a good player?' And I'd be like, yeah. And he would either Venmo me money and I then would Venmo the player or he would do it anonymously on GoFundMe."

Rodgers is an avid golfer, winning the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. It appears his appreciation of the game has also played a part in fueling a desire to help the next generation of golfers, which he and specifically French deserve a tip of the cap for.
