It appears the Cincinnati Bengals are looking to add more protection for quarterback Joe Burrow this offseason.
That additional protection could come in the form of a veteran free agent guard.
Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz reported on Thursday that free agent offensive lineman Lucas Patrick will visit with the Bengals on Friday.
Patrick played in the NFC South with the New Orleans Saints last season on a one-year deal. He started 10 games before being lost for the season with an injury.
Before last season, the 31-year-old appeared in 54 games for the Bears and Packers in the NFC North over the first seven seasons of his pro career.
The Duke Blue Devil went undrafted in 2016 before signing with the Packers that season. He's played in 107 career games with 64 starts and recovered five fumbles.
Patrick earned a 64.6 overall grade from Pro Football Focus in New Orleans last season and didn't allow a sack over 893 pass block plays and gave up just three quarterback hits per PFF.
