Former Premier League defender Richard Dunne has urged Aston Villa to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal this summer - insisting the Manchester United loanee is better value for money than Marco Asensio.
The 27-year-old has kick-started his career in the top flight since leaving United in January to join Villa on a loan deal until the end of the season.
In total, Rashford has played nine times for the Midlands outfit across the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup and provided four goal contributions in that time.

Such a run of form was enough to earn Rashford a call-up to the England squad for the first time since March 2024.
Now, Dunne has called on Villa to make the permanent signing of Rashford a priority this summer, instead of fellow loanee Marco Asensio.
"Marcus Rashford is unbelievably talented and has been a great loan signing for Aston Villa so far, as has Marco Asensio," Dunne told William Hill Vegas.
"They are two players who, for long periods of their careers, have gone missing and not quite achieved the heights you'd expect from them.
"When it comes down to it in the summer, at the end of their loan spells, Villa may have to pick one of them, and the money may be an issue in terms of signing both permanently.
"If you look at it, Rashford knows the Premier League and will withstand the physicality of it. He can also play in a number of positions and is arguably more versatile.
"If Villa are confident they're getting the best version of Rashford, I'd probably go with him permanently."
Rashford has three years remaining on his current deal at United.
