Steve Kerr Has Honest Admission About Draymond Green

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has earned his fair share of critics over the years, but head coach Steve Kerr is not one of them.

Speaking with Dalton Johnson, Kerr had big praise for Green.

“He’s the best defender I’ve ever seen,” Kerr said, per NBACentral.

When you look at Green’s numbers, you may not think he’s such a strong defender.

This year, he is averaging 9.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.

But when you watch him on the court, you see what Kerr is talking about because Green has a natural talent for getting into the head of any opponent and finding ways to neutralize them.

Throughout his career, Green has been one of the most aggressive and confrontational players in the league.

In fact, it has gotten him into a lot of trouble, and his heated attitude has been too much at times, leading to multiple ejections, suspensions, and dozens of technical fouls.

This season, Green has once again been the glue that has held the Warriors together.

He is a major part of the team’s chemistry and has a close bond with just about everyone he plays with.

Green recently suggested that he wants to win Defensive Player of the Year again, a prize he first earned in 2016-17.

Competition for that award is tough, but Kerr thinks he should be in the running.

No matter your opinion of Green, he is obviously a defender who makes a difference for his team.

Kerr thinks he’s the best to ever do it, and many Warriors fans agree with him.

Will Green earn Defensive Player of the Year this season or in the seasons ahead?

That’s not known, but he will obviously continue to play his heart out.
