Former New England Patriots and current North Carolina head football coach Bill Belichick, 72, and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, are quite the couple these days. The two have been spotted everywhere from the NFL Honors' red carpet in February to the beaches of Florida last week.
Now, Hudson is causing a stir with a new, unique photo shoot. On Thursday, March 20, Hudson took to her Instagram page to talk about the importance of mussels in her life. The post was a follow-up to some photos she posted last week and an Instagram Story, in which she asked followers what mussels had to do with the shoot.
In the new post, Hudson is seen wearing the same purple chiffon material as in the previous photo shoot, as she stares into the camera with a big smile on her face.
In the caption she writes that last Wednesday, March 12, she asked followers to tell her what mussels had to do with the photograph.
"The overwhelming response was 'the color of the inside of a mussel shell is purple,'" she stated in the new post. "While the answer did in fact relate to the pictured purple material, this was not the correct answer."
She added, "The correct answer is: The purple mesh fabric mimics the material that BUSHEL BAGS are made of… AKA paraphernalia for mussel harvesting, transporting and selling."
Hudson also said that just two of the more than 1,000 people who participated got it right, and they were both named Jennie. So, they both are getting a $500 gift card to Cousins Maine Lobster and a "hand-and-home-made piece of jewelry" from Creaser Jewelers.
Hudson also explained, in depth, about the photo shoot, stating, "Purple bushel bags are a hallmark of my childhood. My father was a mussel dragger so my family had hundreds of them scattered between the boat, our processing center, the yard…"
She added, "I remember when we slept on Miss Daisy, we would stack them up nice and thick to use as pillows (I remember them being comfortable but I'm not sure I'd think so now). Because I really, really fancied the rich indigo-ish-royal-purple color, I would carry one around as if it were a posh handbag. I would even use them to make little dresses for my Polly Pockets and Barbies."
Followers commented, some sharing their own experiences. One stated, "My sister and I would sleep on a pile of bait bags in an empty (and cleaned out) bait tote on the ride back in from a long day of haul with our dad. Those summers hold such special memories." Another simply said, "That's cool. No way I would've guessed that."
