Ex NFL QB Makes Stunning Cowboys Trade Prediction

FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys have not made any big headlines since the start of free agency. A contract for defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa marked the first major domino of the offseason and one that many did not expect.

Nonetheless, the Cowboys ponied up the money to keep a major piece on their defense. Dallas followed that by restructuring the contracts of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

Following a dry offseason, some thought the Cowboys could undergo a shift in mindset. That was not necessarily the case. The Cowboys were more active than last season, but did not stretch out the newly created cap space for any big fish.

With an extension for Micah Parsons yet to hit pen and paper, that remains the main objective for the offseason. According to former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert though, the Cowboys could be players for a major trade.

He took to X with a prediction for what would be a significant draft day move.

"I would not be shocked to see the Dolphins trade Tyreek Hill on draft night. My ideal landing spots for him are Dallas and Baltimore.

"With Dallas, they get to add some fire power which they will need to compete in their division this year. It would also take eyes off of CeeDee Lamb - allowing for both of their efficiencies to go through the roof."

Cowboys fans would salivate at the idea of a receiving room with Hill and Lamb paired together. Frankly, such a move would give Dallas arguably the best receiving tandem in the league.

At the same time, Hill is more likely to end up at The Star in a Madden video game rather than as a real member of the team. There is certainly a world where the Cowboys could make the financials work, but it would mark a major change of character.

In that same breath, that does not change Dallas' need to upgrade their receiving corps. Behind Lamb, the Cowboys possess no reliably productive playmakers.

The Cowboys need downfield playmaking and receivers who can create their own space to operate. Thus far, Jalen Tolbert, Jonathan Mingo and others in reserve have not shown that prowess.

So while Hill may just be a pipe dream, the Cowboys must address their receiving situation.
