the Nets were able to keep it close against the Boston Celtics Tuesday night... but they folded late against the defending champs. It’s onto Indiana for a bout with the Pacers.
NETS VS PACERS
Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Opponent: Indiana Pacers (39-29)
Tune In: YES Network; WFAN radio
Injury Report: For the Nets, It’s mostly about helping Long Island win out by having their three two ways — Reece Beekman, Tovan Evbuomwan, and Tyson Etienne — plus Dariq Whitehead will be playing the Wisconsin Herd in Oshkosh, Wisc. at 7:00 p.m. ET. Long Island basically needs to win out in their final five games to make the post-season. Cam Johnson will also be out. Don’t worry… he’s just resting. Cam Thomas and De’Anthony Melton are of course out for the season.
For the Pacers, Isaiah Jackson will be out after tearing his achilles this past Friday against the Pelicans. Keeping tabs on Tyrese Haliburton as he is day-to-day.
The Game: After losing three straight games against the Hawks and Bulls, the Pacers have picked things up of late winning four of their last five. Fortunately for Brooklyn, the Pacers are 4-7 when playing on the second night of a back-to-back. They won against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Truth is, the game shouldn’t have been that close as Dallas is as undermanned as you can get. Playing the way the Pacers did Wednesday could cause some fatigue.
