Robert Williams Undergoes Knee Procedure, Likely Done For The Season

The Portland Trail Blazers announced Thursday that center Robert Williams III has undergone surgery in his left knee. The arthroscopic procedure is expected to keep him out for 4-6 weeks. With the final game of the regular season just 3.5 weeks away, it’s unlikely for Williams to return this season, barring a Cinderella playoff run by Portland.

PORTLAND, Ore. (March 20, 2025) – Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III underwent an arthroscopic procedure today to address inflammation in his left knee.

He is expected to make a full recovery and will miss 4-6 weeks.

Williams averaged 5.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and 1.1 assists in 17.6 minutes per game this season, but has only appeared in 20 contests. The previous season, he played in six early games before being shut down due to a knee injury that required surgery.
