There are good stadiums across the league, and there are bad stadiums.
The Buffalo Bills' Highmark Stadium is ranked somewhere in the middle of the venues for the four major sports across the country.
In a recent study from Yelp, Google, Trip Advisor, and Facebook stadiums across the league and country were ranked on a number of different factors. Highmark was ranked 16th in the NFL and 51st overall.
The old stadium is expected to be finished with Bills games following the 2026 season with the new stadium website issuing key goals on what they want in their own atmosphere.
"Create a loud and intimidating gameday atmosphere, bring fans closer to the action," says the stadium website. "[And] reduce the impact of wind/weather inside the stadium."
Up in the snowy confines of Buffalo, Highmark Stadium has been home to legendary games where snow and the weather in general played a part. Having a dome is the team's chance to even the playing field moving forward.
The issue? Buffalo is currently overbudget on the new stadium by $2 million. The organization has asked the NFL for a waiver to fully complete the finishing touches, but it's clear the project to improve Bills' fans experiences comes at a great cost.
And the hope is this new stadium's cost will only improve their current standing in the latest poll.
