Former Raiders Starting CB Reunites With Amik Robertson on Lions

The Las Vegas Raiders have had issues over the years keeping talented players in the building. People like Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, and Khalil Mack come to mind, as Raider Nation sat and watched these players shine on other NFL teams.

But there have been several non-star players who have hurt the Raiders by leaving as well, one of whom was Rock Ya-Sin. Despite having a strong campaign for Las Vegas in an injury-riddled 2022 campaign, the team opted not to bring him back, and the team's secondary struggled without him.

At least Ya-Sin has not starred on other teams, but he remains on NFL rosters every year. On Thursday, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported that Ya-Sin was signing with the Detroit Lions, which means he'll be reunited with another former Raider, Amik Robertson.

Ya-Sin played in nine games for Las Vegas in 2022, totaling 45 tackles and seven passes defended. He came to the Raiders after spending the first three years of his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts, who drafted him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

While he has never played an entire season without injury, Ya-Sin played in 14 and 13 games over the last two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. Now, he'll join a young and energetic secondary in Detroit with a new defensive coordinator after the departure of Aaron Glenn.
