Delta Air Lines is the world's largest airline in terms of revenue, and one of the largest in terms of fleet size and passengers carried. The airline operates a fleet of 987 aircraft, of which 170 are widebody jets. The airline operates out of nine major hubs in the United States, including Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International (ATL), John F. Kennedy International (JFK), Los Angeles International (LAX), LaGuardia (LGA), Boston Logan (BOS), Detroit Metropolitan (DTW), Minneapolis International (MSP), Salt Lake City (SLC), and Seattle Tacoma International (SEA).

The only Boeing-manufactured widebody type Delta Air Lines operates is the 767, with 39 examples of the 767-300ER and 21 of the larger 767-400ER. The average age of the 767-300ER is 28.6 years, whereas the -400ER fleet is going strong at 24.2 years. Only three of the airlines' nine hubs see its Boeing 767-400ER operations, including New York JFK, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, shows that the other six hubs did not see Delta 767-400ER operations this month.
