Dianna Russini Believes Giants Are Down to 2 QB Options That Aren’t Aaron Rodgers

The New York Giants have been one of the most talked about teams when it comes to free agent quarterback and future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers has been rumored to be a very coveted player for the Giants. However, there is a chance that the team could be looking at moving on from waiting for his decision.

Currently, New York holds the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The Giants have been heavily connected to drafting a quarterback with that pick as well.

A new update has now been given about what New York is thinking at quarterback in free agency.

NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic gave the update on "The Dan Patrick Show." She revealed that the Giants are looking at two other quarterbacks outside of Rodgers.

Patrick asked Russini the question, "What are the Giants doing?"

Russini answered with the update on two names that New York could bring in instead of the 41-year-old star.

"Hoping that Russell Wilson or Joe Flacco decide to come to New York," Russini said.

Shedeur Sanders has been rumored to be a target for the Giants with the No. 3 pick. Bringing in either Joe Flacco or Russell Wilson to be a bridge option would make sense.

Flacco is coming off of a 2024 season with the Indianapolis Colts that saw him receive valuable playing time. He played in eight games, completing 65.3% of his passes for 1,761 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Wilson, on the other hand, completed 63.7% of his attempts for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions in the 11 games he played with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
