Knicks Veteran Admits Embarrassment After Hornets Game

The New York Knicks' struggles continued Thursday night, and veteran Josh Hart didn't mince words about it. After a 115-98 loss to the Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center, Hart called out the team's recent performances.

In a postgame interview with Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, Hart admitted, "The way we're losing games is embarrassing."

The defeat marks New York's sixth loss in its last nine games, a troubling trend for a squad still fighting for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference.

Hart, who finished the night with 13 points and six assists, was visibly frustrated postgame. He pointed to the team's effort and execution, stating that their play isn't reflective of a Tom Thibodeau-coached team or what fans expect from the Knicks.

The loss to the Hornets, one of the East's bottom-tier teams, further exposed the Knicks' struggles without key players. Injuries and fatigue have tested the roster, but Hart made it clear that excuses won't cut it.

New York's defense, a staple under Thibodeau, looked out of sync, allowing Charlotte to shoot efficiently (48.9 percent) while failing to generate stops when it mattered most.

With the playoffs approaching, the Knicks need to rediscover their grit before their slump jeopardizes their postseason hopes. If they don't turn things around soon, embarrassment might be the least of their concerns.
