Cuba reasserted willingness to increase inter-parliamentary relations with Ghana

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 19 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla highlighted Cuba's commitment to increase inter-parliamentary relations with Ghana in order to keep strengthening ties between the two countries.

In the context of his current official visit to Ghana, Rodriguez Parrilla met with Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament, and with the local Cuba Solidarity Movement, Ghanaians who graduated from Cuban schools, and Cubans living in this African nation, Ghana, all of whom he thanked for their support and unwavering solidarity with the Cuban people.

Ghana was the first country in Sub-Saharan Africa to establish diplomatic relations with Cuba (on December 23, 1959)

Mr. Rodríguez’s will next travel to Senegal, the last stop of a tour that began on March 10 and included South Africa, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria.
