HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 19 (ACN) More than 3,000 delegates from 50 countries will attend the international conference CUBA SALUD 2025 and its two associated fairs, scheduled to be held on April 21-25 in Havana to discuss models of comprehensive health strategies and wellness, according to Ileana Morales Suarez, director of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Public Health.
Dr. Morales remarked that the conference will feature a far-reaching scientific program with over 400 events and more than 200 lectures, panels, symposiums and meetings, as well as the first Cuba-China Science and Innovation Symposium, dedicated to debates about biotechnology led by several rectors of medical schools in the country.
CUBA SALUD 2025 will also host 30 scientific meetings and symposiums about maternal and child care and oral hygiene, workshops on technological innovation and nanoscience, visits to health and scientific institutions, and bilateral exchanges with the 45 foreign delegations, chaired by health ministers and health care officials from the five continents.
The conference will close with the "Havana Declaration", a document stating the main challenges facing universal health in the next future and the principles of the Cuban health system, based on universality, accessibility, free services, and international medical cooperation.
On April 21 to 24, CUBA SALUD 2025 will also present the16th International Fair “Health for All”―dedicated to China this year―to promote relations with business partners, identify new health technology markets, and share knowledge on financial policies on the import and export of medical services.
Likewise, there will be the 2nd International Seminar and Fair on Medical Tourism and Wellness and the 3rd International Forum on Foreign Investment in the field of health.
Sponsored by prestigious national and international organizations, CUBA SALUD 2025 is mainly intended to discuss public health management models at global, regional and local level.
